Health Professional Scholarship Program
Scholarships are open to students in accredited undergraduate or graduate health care programs leading to eligibility for licensure in Washington state.
Duration: 1 year; renewable.

Five loan repayment programs for health professional who agree to serve in federally designated Health Professional Shortage areas, in designated, under served urban or rural areas, in licensed nursing homes, or in intermediate care facilities for persons with mental retardation or related conditions.

Health Professions Pre-graduate Scholarship/Indian Health Service Scholarship
Eligibility: Alaska Native/Native American students pursuing a degree in pre-professional areas such as pre-medicine, pre-nursing, pre-dentistry, pre-engineering, pre-pharmacy and pre-physical therapy with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Health Professions Scholarships for ELCA Service Abroad
To provide financial assistance to lay women who are members of ELCA congregations and who wish to pursue postsecondary education for service abroad in nursing or other health professions.

This scholarship is awarded to students for assistance in paying for tuition and books. To be eligible you must be a United States citizen, a resident of Utah, and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours of a nursing program. Applicants must submit a personal narrative describing their anticipated role in nursing in the state of Utah, along with three letters of recommendation. This scholarship is a need-based award. Recipients of this award must agree to work for a Utah health care facility or Utah educational institution as a full-time employee for a period of one year, or part-time for a period of two years. Recipients must also agree to join the Utah Nurses Association within 6 months of graduation. For more information, see the application posted on the web site.

To provide funding to nurses interested in conducting research on psychiatric-mental health nursing.

To provide funding for small research projects to members of AWHONN.

To assist a student pursuing a career in nursing. RN Applicants shall be a member of AORN in good standing. Membership must be maintained continuously for 12 months prior to the June 30th application deadline and throughout the funding period. Membership is considered lapsed if full dues are not received at AORN Headquarters by the last day of the renewal month. A cumulative 3.0 GPA average is required and must be maintained for RN members. Student nurse applicants must submit proof of acceptance or enrollment in a NLNAC or CCNE program at an accredited institution. RN member nurses must be enrolled in an appropriate accredited institution for higher education. Applicant is responsible for submitting all materials, including application form, transcripts, resume or CV, personal statement and three letters of endorsement.

To support short-term postdoctoral oncology research training with a senior investigator who has an established program of research that is relevant to oncology nursing.

This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors planning to enter post-secondary education in health sciences (including nursing), business, or public affairs. The recipient must earn at least 12 credits per semester and stay in Maryland after graduation to work full time. Award is renewable.

This scholarship is awarded to a nurse who is pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Applicants must be ENA members for a minimum of twelve months prior to applying.
